Community Care TASMANIA has been named a winner for Innovation in Service & Design at the prestigious 2019 ACSA Aged Care Awards.

The ACSA Aged Care Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements and contributions made by organisations, teams and individuals in the aged care industry throughout the year. The award winners were announced at the awards ceremony held at the Grand Chancellor in Hobart on July 31.

"We are honoured to be selected as the winner of the 2019 ACSA Aged Care Awards in the category Innovation in Service & Design", says Wendy Mitchell, CEO of Community Care TASMANIA. "The Award validates the incredible focus and hard work of the entire team at Community Care TASMANIA, but also all those people that provide excellent service in the aged care sector."

Recognising excellence is always important, but even more so in a time when the aged care sector is receiving some negative press with the royal commission. It's important to remind those working in the industry, and those we serve, that we have a lot to be proud of.

There are seven award categories - with winners from each state and territory forming the list of nominees for ACSA’s national awards, to be presented during the organisation’s 32nd National Summit, being held in Melbourne from 8-10 October.
